About the Illustrator

My name is Kristi Delage, and I was very pleased to be the one who could bring Xavier, the camel, to life on the pages of

"A Camel's Story".

Ever since I can remember, I have spent many hours drawing and coloring. I truly believe that through the inspiration of my mother and my sister, God has given me the gift of illustration. Jesus has been in my heart and my savior since I was eight years old.

I am the wife of a small town family physician, Dr. Bryan Delage; and I am the mother of three children: Kayla, Ryan and Jennifer. Living with my family and our pets (dogs, cat, beta fish and horses) has given me and still gives me plenty of artistic inspiration!

I am a full time "stay-at-home mom", however, I do have a four year college degree in Biology and Chemistry from the University of Minnesota. I also have a two year degree in Graphic Design from the Technical College in Moorhead, MN. I truly enjoy drawing and painting, mostly as a hobby, but I have worked in a printing shop in my home town as a designer. I have done numerous portraits for friends and family, designed brochures, flyers, displays, and a community bulletin board. I have also illustrated a children's book written by my mother, Judy Nichols.

I hope Xavier's journey to the Christ child will touch your heart, and help you, no matter what your age, to discover how much love

God has for you. His love for you is unconditional just as Xavier discovered in his unique Christmas tale.

I am sure all three of the camel's stories will be unforgettable, life-changing adventures for you!

Blessings and happy hours of reading!
